The Lush holiday collection is one of my most anticipated holiday collections each year. Lush has not disappointed me with their holiday offerings for 2015, which is bigger and better than ever before!
This year, Lush introduces a few new soaps to their holiday family. Old Father Time is formulated with fresh sage and thyme infusion, as well as juicy redcurrants, glycerin, rapeseed oil, and coconut oil to cleanse, sooth, and hydrate the skin. I love Lush’s earthy scents, and Old Father Time, with its herby base smells perfectly grounded and great for that end-of-the-day shower. Baked Alaska soap (C$7.95) has a citrus base, made with organic lemon myrtle, grapefruit, as well as stress relieving ylang ylang oil, glycerin and coconut oil to freshen and cleanse the skin. The coolest thing is the piece of soap itself is cut from a giant colourful sphere. Lastly, we have Lush holiday favourites Yog Nog (C$6.95), a slice of spicy egg nog in soap form, as well as Snowcake (C$7.95), a marzipan-scented soap that smells good enough to eat.
One of my favourite new products for 2015 is Cranberry fresh mask (C$8.95). It’s formulated with cleansing kaolin (clay), festive cranberries, brightening fennel seed infusion, moisturizing argan oil, and a blend of aromatic essential oils to give you tightened, glowing skin. It does sting a bit for the first few minutes, especially if you have sensitive skin, but the stinging sensation goes away after a while. The kaolin also tightens the skin and extracts any impurities within the pores.
Lush also has a plethora of pre-wrapped gifts to make gift-giving easy for everyone. Joy to the World (C$19.95) is a limited edition gift box containing Lush’s new Love and Light hand cream and a bar of Snowcake. Love and Light hand cream contains neroli and organic fair trade shea butter to soften and hydrate the hands. It also contains brazilian orange and orange blossom to brighten the skin.
Some of my other Lush holiday picks include the ever favourite Rose Jam shower gel, a sweet-scented rose shower gel that has been at the top of my holiday favourites list for years; Snowman shower jelly, a freshly scented shower jelly shaped like a snowman; Celebrate hand and body lotion, created with a blend of almond oil, cocoa butter, and orange flower.
