My Burberry Black is the latest in the line of My Burberry fragrances, which also include My Burberry EDT, My Burberry EDP, and Mr. Burberry for men. I did not like My Burberry EDT or EDP, they were both very muddled, too floral, and I couldn’t figure out what I was smelling. My Burberry Black, on the other hand, is a deliciously floral and sensual fragrance that’s sexy and sophisticated at the same time. It contains top notes of jasmine; a heart of rose and peach, and base notes of patchouli and amber.
I get a very strong rose scent from My Burberry Black, and I can’t seem to smell the jasmine and peach at all. There is also a lot of patchouli and amber, as the rose scent is definitely a dark one. A little bit goes a very long way, and you only need one spritz to get the full effect; two will be way too much.
One of Burberry’s focuses now is on monogramming, as you can request your trench coats to be monogrammed via the Burberry web store, as well as at Burberry standalone boutiques. Since My Burberry was inspired by the iconic trench coat, you can now also request your My Burberry Black bottle to be customized with up to three initials, monogrammed onto the bottle to create the perfect gift. I received mine as a gift from PR, and I was absolutely touched by the detail in this gift. You too can share this joy with your loved one!
