One of my favourite L’Occitane en Provence products released each year for International Women’s Day is the Solidarity Balm (C$6). This affordable balm uses sustainable and fair trade shea butter, harvested in Burkina Faso by women who are in partnership with L’Occitane. Each year, L’Occitane enlists 17,000 women to help with the harvesting of the Shea Butter range. Lastly, 100% of the profits from the Solidarity Balm go to support the UN Women Fund for Gender Equaltiy.
This year, the Solidarity Balm is beautifully scented with violets. It contains 98% fair trade shea butter, and it has over 50 uses on the body. Some of my favourite uses include as a lip balm, on dry cuticles, as a hand balm, to soothe dry feet, on dry hair to smooth flyaways, and more. I keep this on me when I travel, as it makes a great all-in-one airplane solution for dry skin / lips / hair everything.
You can purchase the Solidarity Balm in stores and online now, for just $6!! For such an amazing price, it’d make a great thank you gift, or stock up to give as stocking stuffers!
