Spring is here in the beautiful city of Vancouver. I always feel the urge to dress all bohemian and “flowy” come spring because of all the pretty flora blooming in the city. I love this top, and I think it’s the perfect spring blouse. Expect to see it in more outfit posts in the future. Can you also tell I love those Nine West flats? I wear them almost every day now that the colour is finally appropriate to wear. Bright colours? YES PLEASE!

In other news… I booked a trip to Vegas for the end of the month! I am super excited because I haven’t had a real vacation in a while (unless you count the Reading Week trip I took to Montreal last year). I need some warmth on my skin!

Outfit: Trousers that make middle-aged women go “summer must be coming”

I wore this outfit out a couple of weeks ago to Vancouver Fashion Week. As MizzJ, Rosie and I were on the way out for a drink, we passed a group of middle-aged women. We overheard one of them say to their friends “summer must be coming” after she saw the bottoms I was wearing.

Sorry for being MIA. I’ve been really busy with work and family this month and I’m also trying to “improve” myself by trying to get a certification or two. I will be posting content once in a while but not as regularly as before. Thank you for your continued support!

London Drugs x Revlon x Almay Media Event Part 2… my outfit and makeup!

Here are some photos of me from the London Drugs and Revlon/Almay event that took place last November (sorry these are so late…). Most of these photos aren’t mine, rather they were taken by Christine or by the photographer at the event.

My makeup for the event was simple, I used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in B20 for natural coverage, which was set with Chanel loose powder and then finished with Guerlain Meteorites in Perles D’or. On my eyes, I used the Dior Minaudiere in 002 Pink Golds which was gifted to me by Christine for Christmas 2010. On my cheeks, I used Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact in 09 Little Bouquet, which is a soft rose-pink. On my lips, I used Guerlain Rouge G in 06 Garance which is a very pretty rose shade.

For my outfit, I wanted something glam but utilitarian. I wore a royal blue chiffon full length skirt from Forever 21 and my beloved Talula Babaton silk blouse. The skirt is an absolute steal from F21 for just $14.50 and the quality is not bad for that price. I love the colour, as it is a very rich royal blue. For shoes I wore Jeffrey Campbell Pixie booties.

Me and Michelle

As usual, I didn’t know what I was going to do with my hair, so I just gave it a quick straighten with my trust Hana flat iron and left it at that.

Lastly, a random photo of me and chef Anthony Sedlak with me posing with his book.

MORE purchases + OUTFITS!

Surprise, surprise, I’ve been doing more shopping XD

I got these two handbags that I’ve had my eyes on for a long time.

This one has a Union Jack design on it. I think my biggest regret from my 3 months in the UK was I completely forgot to get a “I ❤ London" T-shirt. Now I have no idea how I'm gonna get one =/

This one is so hot because its completely covered in black sequins. The black sequins are loosely hand-sewn on the bag so you can flip them over to reveal the silver side. Its like getting 2 bags in one! But I like the black side better.

I also got this butterfly tunic from Etam that was 50% off. It looks really cute over jeans =)

Totoro pencil case! Enough said, haha.

And hair strawberries. These are SO hard to use; I always end up pulling out a bunch of my hair after each use. Not good.

I finally had some free time today to do show some outfits for you guys. I have to wait for the house to be empty or else its so weird, LOL.

Blazer from Zara | Bandage tunic from Topshop | lace leggings | studded wedge booties

I freaking love this blazer!

The navy blue bubble skirt and cute t-shirt combination! On the right is also me modelling the Union Jack bag.
Cute t-shirt | Navy stripped bubble skirt from Etam | Tights from ASOS | Plum flats from Teenmix
And me modelling the sequined bag. I really love this bag, it looks like it adds an extra level of luxury to any outfit.
New flats from Teenmix. They’re a little bit on the tight side near the front, but other than that they are super comfy.
In other news, Sasa has put a lot of the BeautyMaker (cosmetics brand by MA Kevin from Taiwan), BeautyEasy and @Nature (skincare brands by Niu Er) on sale. Some of the discounts are 50% or more, so check it out here if you’re a fan of their stuff. Some of the products from those brands are well-known HGs of some of us fellow bloggers, but they’re not readily available outside of Taiwan. Personally I have never tried anything from any of those brands so I can’t speak personally of them.
