I was super lucky to get one of these not-yet-released Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipsticks in my Holt Renfrew Beauty Hall media preview gift bag. This line of 10 liquid lipsticks is slated to launch on August 10 in the UK, so hopefully we’ll see them soon on this side of the pond as well. Pricing information is not yet known for Canada, but if it’s like all of her other lipstick products, it should be around C$39.
The new Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips features:
- Cut-out doe foot applicator which is designed to mimic the curvature of the lips to create an ultimate volume boost
- Sea Lavender SC, an anti-ageing ingredient that boosts collagen (more plump lips!)
- Hyaluronic acid to firm and plump, also soothes and comforts
The doe foot applicator is very well designed in that one “scoop” is more than enough to cover the entire lip. I even had to blot because I found that it provided a bit too much product.
The shade I have is Charlotte Darling, which is a peachy nude brown. Charlotte does an incredible nude lip, and this one is no different. At first when I put it on, it looked SO orangey-brown, and it also felt way too drying, settling a bit into lines. After a few minutes, it really warms up beautifully on the skin and then it becomes a really nice peachy colour that’s very wearable and didn’t look brown at all. Despite it being a matte lipstick, it doesn’t dry down to be drying, and it is also very comfortable and weightless to wear. It has a moussey texture that kind of reminds me of the Jeffree Star liquid lips, but even more weightless. As with all matte liquid lipsticks, though, this doesn’t layer well on top of itself so I wouldn’t suggest this for touchups throughout the day.
You can sign up for advanced notice and sneak peeks of Charlotte’s new upcoming Hollywood collection, which includes this liquid lip.
