I think I have my new favourite blusher for fall. Clarins Graphic Expression collection for Fall 2013 includes a Face & Blush Powder that is a blush/bronzer combination. While it might sound like more of a summer blush, it works beautifully for fall.
Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder is comprised of three shades – a shimmery coral, a warm orange-based bronzer, and a light yellow-based powder. The three shades mix together to be a wonderful shade for fall as the bronzers warm up the coral to make it look very natural on the skin. While the coral is shimmery, it is not glittery, and when it blends with the bronzer and the powder, it gives off a very natural sheen.
The powder is very finely milled, adhering and blending well on the skin. It lasts a full 8 hours on me, with a bit of fading around 9 and then mostly gone by 10. This is normal for me so I was pretty happy with how well it lasted.
There is a gold overspray that is quite glittery, but it goes away after the first use (or you can be like me and just brush it off before applying it for the first time). Even though the overspray wears off, the design underneath is still gorgeous. In the photos below (without the overspray), I’ve used it for about 7 times and the design is still pretty ingrained in the powder.
Clarins Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder weighs in at a hefty 10 grams, which is what regular face powder weighs at, meaning you get a ton of product for the reasonable price of $40. Keep in mind that Clarins is a relatively high end line so the price will have a bit of a premium, but compared to how much product you get and the quality, it is completely reasonable. Available now in at Clarins counters across Canada, the Graphic Expression Face & Blush Powder is limited edition for fall, so get it ASAP if you’re interested!
