Swatches/thoughts: Stila Vibrant in Vancouver palette

The Stila Vibrant in Vancouver palette is a limited edition palette from their “passport” collection. This palette contains five eyeshadow shades and one convertible lip and cheek cream.

The shades are (starting from bottom left and going clockwise, then centre): Seaplane, a shimmery taupe; Cypress, a shimmery gold-bronze; Granville, a matte beige; Coal Harbour, a matte chocolate; and English Bay, a shimmery white-pink which is supposed to be their famous shade Kitten (according to the Stila brand rep). The convertible lip and cheek cream in Tiger Lily is a shimmery rose-brown.

The textures of the eyeshadows are very smooth, slightly powdery and not as creamy as some other powder shadows I’ve tried. The pigmentation is excellent and it blends out pretty easily. This would be an amazing palette to take on the go as it is versatile and the different shades can be used not just on the eyelids. The shade in Coal Harbour can be easily used as eyebrow powder and English Bay can be used as a cheek highlighter. The shades they’ve chosen in this palette are not too warm and not too cool, making them perfect for every kind of skin tone.

The lovely people over at Stila have also included a convenient eye chart for easy creation of beautiful eyes.

This palette is now available for purchase across Canada and on for $16.

  1. Seaplane and Cypress are gorgeous colours! Not necessarily the colours I would think of when hearing Vibrant in Vancouver, but the more I think of it, they do make sense!

  2. It’d be nice if it came with an mini applicator make-up brush in the palette but anyway I like the steps they give you to achieve the look. Always like that about some of the Stila palettes.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments!
