Quick Skincare Reviews: AmorePacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Serum, Eye Treatment Gel & Creme

I received a couple of deluxe samples of AmorePacific‘s new Moisture Bound Rejuvenating collection and I’ve been using them for the past few weeks. I received 9 mL of each product, which was enough for about 3-4 weeks of use (at night only for the creme and serum, day and night for eye treatment gel).

Overall from using these products together, I’ve found that my skin is well moisturized and glowy when I wake up. In addition, I was using these products during the few weeks when I was very stressed out from school, and these products made sure that my skin didn’t look stressed, rather it looked like I had been well-rested. This is definitely a bonus, especially for those of you who have stressful lives. Of course because of the price point, not everyone can afford it, or want to spend so much on skincare products. I would recommend you try to get samples if you can, because these are truly products that will make a difference on your skin.

AmorePacifc Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Serum

  • Texture: Light cream-gel, similar to the creme but slightly lighter. Absorbs quickly.
  • Scent: Floral, like all of AmorePacific’s products
  • Price: $100 for 50mL from Sephora or through the AmorePacific Flagship Store in NYC by calling (800) 55-AMORE
  • Overall: I love this serum! It hydrates well and absorbs quickly without too much hassle/massage. Together with the Creme (I only use this at night), I wake up with soft, glowy and well moisturized skin. You don’t need very much of it either, maybe just slightly larger than a pea-sized amount. I recommend this product for dehydrated skin.

Ingredients: Phyllostachis Bambusoides Juice, Alcohol, Glycerin, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Squalane, Peg/Ppg-17/6 Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Dimethicone, Niacinamide, Acetyl Glucosamine, Betaine, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Hydrolyzed Phyllostachis Bambusoides, Hydrolyzed Camellia Sinensis Leaf, Theanine, Epigallocatechin Gallate, Kaempferol, Camellia Sinensis Flower Extract, Natto Gum, Caffeine, Beta-Glucan, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cyclohexasiloxane, Methyl Gluceth-20, Pca Dimethicone, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Tocopherol, Phytantriol, C12-16 Alcohols, Bis-Peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate, Stearyl Behenate, Dimethiconol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polysorbate 20, Carbomer, Palmitic Acid, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Mannan, Peg-15 Pentaerythrityl Tetra(Laureth-6 Carboxylate), Poloxamer 407, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Tromethamine, Disodium Edta, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel

  • Texture: Light gel texture, somewhat watery, absorbs not too quickly, requires some massage
  • Scent: Faint floral, a very toned down scent compared to their other products
  • Price: $85 for 15mL from Sephora or through the AmorePacific Flagship Store in NYC by calling (800) 55-AMORE
  • Overall: Not too fond of this, seems like it isn’t absorbing into my skin, rather just sits on top to create a barrier. This is not enough moisture for my dry under-eye area, so once I applied some Chanel eye cream on top and they both rubbed off into little eraser dust pieces. I probably won’t buy…

Ingredients: Phyllostachis Bambusoides Juice, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol,Cyclohexasiloxane, Alcohol, Peg-75, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Squalane, Niacinamide, Acetyl Glucosamine, Hydrolyzed Phyllostachis Bambusoides, Hydrolyzed Camellia Sinensis Leaf, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Seed Extract, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract, Hesperidin, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/Pvp Crosspolymer, Caffeine, Theanine, Kaempferol, Camellia Sinensis Flower Extract, Natto Gum, Beta-Glucan, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Phytantriol, Epigallocatechin Gallate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Lauryl Peg-9 Polydimethylsiloxyethyl Dimethicone, Polysilicone-11, Propanediol, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Peg-15 Pentaerythrityl Tetra(Laureth-6 Carboxylate), Sodium Chloride, Poloxamer 407, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, 1,2-Hexanediol, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Rejuvenating Creme

  • Texture: Gel-cream texture that is slightly lighter than a real cream but thicker than a gel.
  • Scent: Floral, like all AmorePacific products I’ve used
  • Price: $150USD for 50mL from Sephora or through the AmorePacific Flagship Store in NYC by calling (800) 55-AMORE
  • Overall: I love this cream, it works amazingly on my dehydrated and slightly sensitive skin. You don’t need very much of it to spread and massage into the skin. I use this only at night and together with the serum, I wake up with glowing skin. I would recommend this product (along with the serum) for dehydrated or normal skin.

  1. Wow! Really expensive, but I do see the reasoning for it. They probably use very exclusive ingredients that aren’t found in other skincare. It must feel nice to wake up to nice skin 🙂 I always wake up and feel bloated on my face! :p

  2. I used to use some of the Amore Pacific skincare line but it was just too pricey for me to justify continuing using it. I did like what I used though.

  5. Hi, thanks for your reviews. I hate to be a possible bearer of negative news, but apparently, alcohol is bad for the skin …causing longterm damage, and I notice that alcohol is high on the ingredient list of some of the products. Disclosure: I read a lot of Paula Begoun’s research see http://www.beautypedia.com. What are your thoughts on this? There are a lot of very popular products that PB pans based on the ingredients. I used to love La Mer, but now worry about the ingredients. I don’t know how right she is, but she makes sense, though sometimes, I wish PB is wrong!

    • Hi Lisa,

Thank you for your comment! I realize that some alcohol is bad for the skin, but some are definitely not. A good example is Japanese skincare products where there is a high concentration of alcohol in almost everything, in particular the toners/lotions such as SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Kose Medicated Sekkisei. However most people who use those products, the Japanese, have very good skin, even at a very old age. Of course I don’t recommend using excessive amounts of it, from just those examples, it seems like not all alcohol is bad.

I still try to steer away from it though, so thank you for pointing that out =)
