I want these leggings.

Posted by Sheila on June 18, 2010

Leggings by Lucyd Acyd (image from Google)

I saw these leggings on some random blog, can’t remember which, but they are to DIE for. I’m currently really digging the bandage/cut-out look and these are just amazing. They’ll work so well with the Zara blazer and the studded wedge booties I bought before.

[UPDATE] I just bought them! They were completely sold out for 2 months, but they recently got new stock in from their backorder so they’re available for purchase now. They’re called Illicit Bandage Leggings and you can get them here. Shipping worldwide is $15.

MAC In the Groove: Swatches (Link) + Wishlist

Posted by Sheila on June 10, 2010

Swatches of the upcoming MAC In the Groove collection can be found on Haruhii. This is the second time this year that a collection has been launched outside of North America earlier than the North American launch date (the other collection being To the Beach).

For In the Groove product list and information, check out Temptalia.

I’m wondering if MAC’s changed their formula for the Mineralize Eye Shadows in this collection. I remember them to be extremely frosty when I first tried them out last year during Colour Craft. But I’m glad its not frosty and it doesn’t look like there will be too much fallout either, thank goodness.

From looking at Haruhii’s swatches, I think I want to go for:

Togetherness Mineralize Eye Trio – its a beautiful combo of lilac, silver purple and grey. And its not overly frosty; an overall very wearable shade

Band of Roses Mineralize Blush Duo – I bought Two Virtues from Too Fabulous but I don’t wear it all that often. I’m still lemming after Band of Roses though because it swatches out to be this utterly gorgeous rose colour.

Chillin’ Cremesheen Glass (on the very left)- Blue lipgloss, anyone?

Whats your wishlist for In the Groove?

Mmmm…. Current Lemmings~

Posted by Sheila on June 8, 2010

Things I’m currently lemming, because I’m actually always constantly lemming something, LOL!

Dior 5-colour Eyeshadow in Crush Glow. I love the shimmery satin colours of this palette. Its so wearable, especially for Spring and Summer.
Food: My favourite non-all you can eat sushi restaurant from back home is Banzai Sushi in Richmond. The fish and everything else there is very fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. Their House Rolls are the size of my palm! I don’t know about service, because every time I go I always get take-out. I always get the Maki Combo B (first row, middle picture) because that has everything I love – House Roll, California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Salmon and Cucumber rolls.
If you get a chance to go to Richmond for an inexpensive meal, make sure to check out this place! I’m drooling just looking at the pictures…

Oh and lets not forget my never-ending lemming from MAC‘s newest To the Beach collection. I’m a huge fan of bright eyeshadows so when To the Beach came out, I really wanted both Firecracker (top left) and Sweet & Punchy (top right) eyeshadow. And then I saw swatches of Thrills Lipstick (bottom left) and Shimmermoss (bottom right) eyeshadow and that was love at first sight too.

Oh gosh, I hate you MAC. Stop releasing new collections every few weeks or so. I think I like the four collections a year thing better. So… does anyone want to grab me the MAC stuff for my birthday that’s coming up in about a month? LOL, just kidding XD (I mean, you still can if you want to =P)

That’s it for my short entry. And to learn something from Ms. Kristen Stewart – “Peace Out” *scutters away*

Uber lemming of the Day: Jill Stuart Jewel Compact Mirror

Posted by Sheila on December 12, 2009

Look at that mirror. Isn’t it the most perfect thing you’ve ever seen? Too bad its $62USD including shipping from HK. Its sold out everywhere except for a few online shops, and I’m really craving for it. It came out with the 5th anniversary collection that was released this fall. Most of the stuff in the collection are pretty useless (like the diamond powder, you can still get that and the nail polish set at Cosme-De).

Maybe I should put myself on a Jill Stuart freeze until January; I already bought so much of their stuff this month. Plus my lovely friend Sara who is going back to TW this winter is going to grab a few of their items for me as well. I’ll take my chances…
Thoughts?

Link: Guerlain Cherry Blossom collection swatches & Spring Wishlist!

Posted by Sheila on December 9, 2009

Spring is usually my least favourite season for cosmetics because often the colours are either too bland/neutral, or too bright and exciting. It really is hard to find a middlepoint, especially because with all the other seasons, its easy to define a look that is for THAT season, for example autumn means dark rich colour, winter means shimmer/holiday looks, and of course summer means sunlight and bright colours. But with Spring, there is really no clear definition.

This year’s Guerlain’s Spring collection, Cherry Blossom, is a good example of something that is suitable for Spring because it really does remind me of Spring. Personally, I felt Guerlain’s spring collection from last year was a big fail, the colours were not very wearable…
Anyways, you can check out advanced swatches of the entire collection from Yuki’s Lazy Channel. It was from these swatches that I decided I won’t be needing anything from this collection after all, even though from first glance I said that I would probably get everything. The reason is that much of it is overspray, which really disappointed me. The blush especially, after the overspray was taken off, the colours weren’t very unique and although the peach is pretty, I feel its easily dupeable.
I think the only other thing that I am really anticipating for Spring (as of now), is Dior’s Poudrier Dentelle from its Boudoir Look/Lacy Beauty collection. I’m a sucker for lace and anything Dior, so the combination is pretty much like something that fell from heaven for me. It comes in two colours, Peach Lace and Pink Lace. No swatches have surfaced yet, but excited? I think so!
