I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Ekilove… and you should too!

Posted by Sheila on April 24, 2010

I’m so obsessed with Ekilove, which is the company that miss Eki set up to sell her hand-made goods. Everything is seriously Made with Love, which is her slogan. I had asked her to send everything back home to Canada because I have way too much luggage already to carry around with me, so I won’t be able to show you life pictures until I get back in August. But here is a little preview of what I got…

I ordered the Hime Bow Pouch A, which is the one on the very left. I love the heart and bow detailing, as well as the mini gold heart dangling off the middle of the bow. Its also made of satin, which just happens to be one of my favourite fabrics.

I also ordered the giant Bow Chou Chou that Eki crocheted with her own hands, it took her 2 hours to make! I’m so honoured to own this as she put so much time and effort into making it.

And I also ordered the Ruffly Chou Chou B (the one in the middle). I love that is fluffier than the other two and looks perfect for when I want to do a messy bun.

And of course some jewelry. I love Eki’s jewelry because they’re all so pretty and cute and perfectly reflects her personality. I got the Golden Key Necklace. I love keys and locks. That is all =D

I also got myself her Alice in Wonderland earring and necklace set. I love Alice in Wonderland and her interpretation of it is just so adorable. It looks even better than the real Alice in Wonderland collection released by Swarovski.

I think Swarovski should employ Eki to be their creative designer, don’t you?

That’s it for my Eki purchases, all of this came to more than $100… I am such an Eki addict, but I can’t help it. I think this is my 3rd or 4th order from her already but I keep going back because the quality and designs are all so original and AWESOME.

If you do plan on ordering from her, make sure to follow her on Twitter so you know when the stuff will be put out, because they sell out almost immediately after she posts them up. Because of the time difference here, I’ve had to more than once stay up really late to wait for her to post up the stuff, or miss the collection all-together, which is sad…

Do you own anything by Eki?

Second round of packages: from Eki and a sample from Kathi of Lotus Palace!

Posted by Sheila on November 25, 2009

I received two more packages yesterday! One was the stuff I purchased from Eki, the other was the sample that Kathi from Lotus Palace offered on her blog a few weeks ago.
First, my EkiLove haul:
The packaging is cute as always, Eki always knows how to present her creations!

I love the little sticker that she had gotten made, its so cute and perfect for her; same with the business card.

My purchase! The Hime Grace pouch and the peaches & cream pouch. Eki was so nice to include some masks and skincare samples for me to try. Not only that… she also gave me a free pair of her Hearts & Keys earring after hearing that I liked them. Thank you so much Eki!!

The Grace Hime pouch. It is byfar my favourite Eki purchase up to now. I own four Eki pouches as of yesterday, and this one is just so pretty. The ruffles of fabric and lace, as well as the big capacity (shown here in comparison with the huge tube of Glysomed hand cream), it really is the perfect pouch. I will be using this to store my skincare stuff for when I travel.

Eki also included two rebate coupons for Cellnique! If you’ve been reading her blog, you know that Eki is a big supporter of Cellnique. The coupons are for $10 off purchases of $100. I will be including one of these coupons in my anniversary giveaway.
Now to the sample sent by Kathi. It got here so fast from Austria! Canada Post is usually not that fast.. sometimes mail from BC sent to me in ON takes 4 weeks to arrive, can you imagine that?!
The letterhead and envelope are all so cute, its pretty sad to see the big postage stamp on the front of the envelope.
Inside was a sample of the Komenuka Bijin Cleansing Powder! I’ve never tried cleansing powders before as I am all for the foamy stuff, but I was really intrigued by the concept, so when Kathi offered samples on her blog, I immediately jumped at it.
Thanks Kathi! I will be writing the full review once I try this product out.
That’s all the packages from yesterday. I received an e-mail from Yumeko of Bittenbefore whom I ordered a brush roll from, that my order will be shipped out soon. I am really excited as I love cute brush rolls and Yumeko is so talented and awesome to be making them. I’ll post up pictures once I receive it!
As for my test today… I think I did pretty well. The only question I know I screwed up on was the question about Malaysia’s internal policy, I completely misread part of the question and so I only got part of it right. Oh well, I guess I’ll have to be more careful next time.

New stuff! <3

Posted by Sheila on September 22, 2009

Sorry for being MIA yesterday. I tried to keep up with the posting but yesterday I just had a really busy day due to classes and an extreme lack of sleep from the previous night.

Anyways, I’d like to share with you some amazing things I ordered recently. Not all of them of course, I bought a lot of makeup/skincare but I haven’t had a chance to try them yet, so I’m not going to review them until I’ve been able to try and test the products.

The first things I really want to share are these absolutely gorgeous pouches that a fellow blogger Eki has been selling on her blog. They are all handmade by her and priced pretty reasonably. The thing I noticed most about her stuff is that everything is made with such care and love, so the end product is not only gorgeous, but really good quality.

Of course, I ordered a bunch of them. Some of the ones I really liked were sold out, but Eki was nice enough to still make some for me. So if you see something that you really like but says “sold out,” you can usually email her to request it made, but it will take a few weeks especially if she is busy with other orders.

You can buy her handmade stuff here. She updates her personal blog daily and the blog that she uses to sell stuff weekly. Shipping is available to Canada and is very reasonable.

Did you notice that pink pouch? that is a pouch to protect Nintendo DS or DSi. I don’t have a DSi, so I went out and bought one just to put in the pouch… just kidding! I’ve wanted a DSi for a VERY long time, ever since my mom bought my little brother a DS, and then dad followed by buying him a PSP. Since I am the girl of the family, and the older one, I should not “indulge” myself in video games. Mom is scary that I will be addicted and stop studying, which is what I do best and what I do MUCH better than brother.

Here is a pic of my new DSi. I don’t have the actual one yet because I bought it off Best Buy yesterday when they were doing a sale on DSi. I hope I receive it soon..

It’s so pink right? =D
