About Me
Hi! I’m Sheila and I started Maddy Loves in November of 2008 (we used to be known as Mademoiselle Loves Beauty). I’ve always been a big fan of beauty products because as a little girl, I dreamt of growing up to be a princess. As I got older, I started to have a more serious outlook on life, but I felt that I had to approach everything head on, and looking fabulous at the same time.
I enjoy reading random Wikipedia articles during my spare time, with a particular emphasis on history and historical figures. I also enjoy watching movies, especially period pieces, romantic comedies and specifically films that showcase female empowerment. My current favourites include The Young Victoria, Go Lala Go (a Chinese film), The Holiday and The Devil Wears Prada. I enjoy anything with Keira Knightley, Emily Blunt and most of Nicole Kidman’s films too.
As for beauty products, I am always on the lookout for new and improved products that I can try. My all-time favourite Western brands are Dior, Chanel and Guerlain, but I am also a fan of various Japanese cosmetics brands such as Jill Stuart and Paul & Joe. My makeup collection is comprised of products from both Western and Asian brands.
I have light medium skintone that is mostly neutral but leans slightly warm. My foundation shades are:

- Chanel B20 Beige Tendre
- Vasanti Liquid Cover-Up V2
I have dehydrated normal skin (sometimes my T-zone does get oily though) and it is occasionally prone to breakouts (especially when I’m stressed). I also have very thick, long, black hair dyed auburn. My skincare regime is comprised of products mainly to help restore moisture to my skin, and at the same time prevent breakouts and lighten scars and dark spots.
My camera of choice for both video and still photography is Canon EOS Rebel T2i (also known as EOS 550D).
